Snow day!

We have been very excited to have snow this year to build a snowman.
Since last year snow days did not happen here for us. So here we are bundle up and ready to play. I think Gretta could stay out for hours she would refuse to admit she was cold even though under two layers of gloves her fingers felt like ice cubes.

31!

So we celebrated my 31st birthday on the 31st of December. I had a great day and got some good pics to pass along. I am so excites to see what the next year brings! I love birthdays!

Christmas Part 2

Okay so part 2 has been delayed & I still don't have many pics, but I am going to post anyway. First I love preparing for Christmas morning. We make cookies a couple days before. Gretta is so excited. Again this year "Santa" had gotten way too many stocking stuffers. Elijah always doea the stuffing because he is the only one who reach the hanging stockings so this causes a littke bit of a problem. Haha...Elijah is very nervous putting everything out!. He is scared of being caught. LOL I find this funny and many opportunities to startle him. So Christmas Eve night is fun but it does not come close to the next morning.
We had two very different kiddos wake up. Gretta so excited she could hardly contain herself. Waiting for the camera to be setup was like an eternity.  Hahaha. Oliver on the other hand very low key. And was the slowest unwrapper we had this year. He often got passed by Gretta who could of had all her gifts unwrapped in a minute. We usually go around and take turns unwrapping.  Needless to say that did not happen this year. Gretta was just too excited. Plus Oliver loved his gifts and he wanted to play with them before moving on. It was tons of fun though. Oliver got a little chair which he sat in to unwrap his presents he was soooo cute. Gretta got lots of Barbies and a guitar from Barbie & the popstar. So now everyone in our house knows all the lyrics to those songs. We have been so blessed. Hope everyone else had a Merry Christmas.

Christmas Part 1

We have made lots of great Christmas memories this year with friends and family. We started the week of Christmas off with a Christmas party with our friends from Purdue. Not everyone can make it each year. But we love getting to see those that do.

Then Monday we celebrated with Mamaw & Papaw Welch and Uncle Lub. It was lots of fun. Oliver is pretty slow at unwrapping, and Gretta couldn't wait for anybody let alone her little brother who is taking his precious time. Savoring every moment. Everyone was so generous so we has two happy kiddos & tired. Yes!  More pics on the camera but I have few on my phone to share. Preprations for Santa & Christmas day coming in Part 2.

Bath Night

Bath night is a favorite in our house. Oliver gets so excited I love telling him it is bath night. Just to see his face. But you don't dare tell him too early or he will constantly be asking "bath, bath..." I tried that once thinking it might make him sit up and eat his dinner. Did not go like I had planned. Total meltdown until he was actually in the bath. Ha, ha...
He is also all about Daddy & Uncle Lub (Caleb). He w as crying and beside himself tonight when Elijah was later than normal. He missed dinner with us. So Oil was pretty upset. And Uncle Lub he asks for everyday. He wants to see him literally everyday. And if u go to the front door he gets very excited & thinks he is here. It is so sad to see his little face when he sees the UPS driver instead.
I fear that mommies days are numbered and when he has the option he will be beside Daddy or Uncle Lub every time. ;-)

Tea Time & More

So Gretta went to her first tea party last night. She was so excited. It was a Christmas tea at my Mom's church. We did our nails and had some girl time before. So it was a really great day. Oliver got to spend the afternoon/evening with Daddy which was a nice treat too.
We only have two more presents to purchase & we are done Christmas shopping. I am going to start wrapping the presents this week so I can enjoy them under my tree. Which is my one of my favorite things, it always look so pretty with the bows & sparkling paper. I cannot wait to give the kids their presents. They will love it! So much fun giving the perfect gift.  So here a x couple pics of the past weekend & week so far.

Christmas Ready

First off I got a new phone with a data plan so I can be connected to the world. So hopefully that means more blogging. LOL we will see.
We put up our tree Saturday and if you notice there are no ornaments on the bottom we have a curious little man this year, so everything is out of his reach. The tree had decorations for maybe an hour and he had one of our candy cane ornaments down & eating it. He is totally fine Dr. Laughed when I called her, I was in tears. Felt like the worst mom ever.
Kids are doing great Oliver repeats everything and eats ALL the time. He just finished lunch and is now having a snack before nap. Great is with Mamaw Welch this afternoon. She has been asking to spend time with her without Oliver. Ha, ha... She is in pee wee basketball at the Y. Elijah is coaching they are both loving it.
